1. 06:04:58 PM (00:02:37) Inventory Update (Discussion)
• Inventory Map
Historical Preservation Specialist Phillipe Gonzalez gave an overview of the proposed
boundary for the inventory. He stated that 128 properties in this area would get
write-ups and photos for the report. Letters to the landowners have gone out and
fieldwork will begin shortly. The final report will be available in early 2020.
Mr. Gonzales answered board members questions and concerns about the proposed
boundary of the inventory.
2. 06:17:26 PM (00:15:05) Willson Training (Discussion)
Work by board members still need to be done to go ahead with the Willson project.
3. 06:18:59 PM (00:16:38) Retreat Plan (Discussion)
Mr. Gonzalez stated the best date for the retreat members is Saturday, December
14th. The retreat will be in the Madison Room in City Hall from 9 AM to 1PM.
Discussion by the board members on what topics to cover during the retreat was
held. Mr. Gonzalez will come up with a future action plan for historical preservation
to present at the retreat. He will also present a basic overview of historical
preservation duties so board members can understand the process better. Other
agenda items are possible.
4. 06:30:59 PM (00:28:38) Board Openings (Discussion)
A person has applied for the vacant historic preservation advisory board member
position and is going through approval by the City Clerk’s office. The new board
member should be at the next advisory board meeting.
5. 06:31:46 PM (00:29:25) Ethics Training (Discussion)
Mr. Gonzalez presented to the board members the required yearly Ethics training.
G. 07:03:18 PM (01:00:57) FYI/Discussion
Mr. Gonzalez gave an overview on using the city’s interactive Community Development
map on the city’s website. He also gave a quick summary of what activities are under plans
for a building on Tracy and Main, the Daniel Rouse house on Church, the Bozeman Hotel
and the Ellen Theater.
