I own a house in the Alder Creek neighbor and this proposal impacts our community. I purchased a home in Alder Creek because I was enthralled with the familycommunity and the sense of safety. Feeling safe while walking the sidewalks and trails is an important feeling for the families of the area. I think it is a terrible idea to place a homelessarea near an elementary school and the close-by middle school. Why is the city ok with bringing the homeless into the lives of these school children, taking chances with their safety? When I stop at the Graf and south 3rd Ave intersection, most of the time, there are kids waiting to cross the road, right next to the backyard of where this homeless shelter would be.There are so many families with young children in the area. I read several articles, from people living near homeless shelters, reporting shady characters, people harassing/asking for money,break-ins, increase waste in the street, more police involvement and other disturbing occurrences as issues. These are cause for real concern. Please do not allow a warming station at this location, the surrounding single-family communities will be negatively impacted in many ways. Thank you for your time.
