Dear Mr. Rosenberg and other members of the city planning department,
I'm writing to voice my opposition to the proposed homeless shelter at 3025 Westridge in
Figgins Subdivision. The proposed location is too close for comfort to Morning StarElementary School and Sacajawea Middle School.
There is one clear and logical reason why the application should be denied: it would cause a
safety hazard for our kids. Since the proposed shelter would have a high capacity and does notrequire background checks it's simply an unacceptable proposition.
I've discuss the issue with several neighbors and from my perception, the neighborhood is
overwhelmingly opposed to the shelter.
