Dynneson - HRDC Warming Center SiteFrom:Ginger Dynneson To:Sarah Rosenberg; Agenda Subject:HRDC Overflow Warming Center at 3025 Westridge Dr. Date:Monday, November 04, 2019 12:14:54 PM Hello, I wanted to put in my voice to the conversation of approving the SUP for the HRDC Overflow Warming Center at 3025 Westridge Dr. I am a resident of this neighborhood for 20 years, and a neighbor that lives just 4 houses down from this address. I do not see any problem with having the overflow warming center at this location on our end of town. I know that you all have heard from some very loud and fear driven voices from other neighbors that oppose this. Please know that they do not speak for all in this area. I have experienced the current overflow location at Christ the King and I don't have concerns of them using this house in my neighborhood. My two teenage children also do not have a problem with this house being used as an overflow warming center. They welcome this house being used for such a need. They do not have the same fears as other adults have expressed. I believe that HRDC will be good neighbors and the idea of the use of this location in the future for youth transitional housing is a wonderful one. I know and understand that dealing with the visable homeless is hard and sometimes that experience is used to base all decisions on when dealing with the homeless population. It is the non- visable homeless that this overflow center helps the most and we as a community can help them by providing this center for them when they need it the most. To give to those that are in crisis one less thing to worry about in a trying time, is the least that we can do for them. I have faith that the right decision will be made and I hope that the decision is based on fact and need and not based on fear and the emotions that come with it. Again, I would like to say that I support having the HRDC Overflow Warming Center at the location of 3025 Westridge Dr. Thank you for your time, Ginger Dynneson
