Hartman - HRDC Warming Center SiteFrom:David Hartman To:Sarah Rosenberg; Agenda Subject:Re: HRDC Homeless Shelter at 3025 Westridge Dr. Date:Sunday, November 03, 2019 3:04:42 PM I would recommend that this property be donated to a charitable group such as Family Promise who could use it as a transitional housing for families who are on the verge ofbecoming homeless. Family Promise has a great track record of helping families before they become chronically homeless. This would be a better fit for the neighborhood, because theseare people who are dedicated to putting time and effort into helping themselves out of a challenging season in their lives. I'm all for helping people, and I'm not part of the "not in mybackyard" movement. I just want to see this property used responsibly, and in a way that is a good fit for the neighborhood. We are inopposition to the proposed warming shelter to be located at 3025 Westridge Dr. We have a six year old, and are concerned for the safety of the children in the area as well as potentialcrime that may accompany a homeless populace in the area. An industrial area such as the one where the warming shelter off of Griffin Ave is located is a much better fit. Please keepBozeman "the most livable city" for it's tax paying residents, and don't destroy our quiet, safe, R-1 neighborhood. Regards,David Hartman and Kasia Kulbacka
