Good Afternoon,
I am writing to inform you of my opposition to establish a new warming center located
in in the middle of a neighborhood in south Bozeman. I don't think the location is
appropriate. I value so much what we have built, what we have, in the neighborhoods
surrounding this location. I know almost all of my neighbors and I feel safe living
where I live, where I have chosen to live and where my children go to school and
play. With such a transient population coming in and out on a daily basis that feeling
is violated. After reading information from police calls to both the warming
headquarters and Christ the King, it reinforces how inappropriate it would be to have
the new center in the middle of a neighborhood. I support HRDC in other ways to help
those in need in our community but I do not support the HRDC for this project.
Thank you for your consideration of our comments. I welcome the chance to be a part
of finding a better solution.
