Hi Sara -
I’m sure you’re getting more than a few of these emails, but I wanted to add my voice for just a moment. The concerns
shared already with the city about the proposed warming center on Westridge and South 3rd I believe are valid, and
present a situation where the risks of moving forward with the shelter—both short and long term—are greater than the
value of moving forward. It will significantly change the tenor and tone of the neighborhood, and when you factor in the
schools and the amount of kids moving through the area into the equation it just doesn’t make sense. Please continue to
look for alternative solutions.
