To whom it may concern:
I protest the special use permit application for this location. The close proximity to two (2) schools, Morningstar
elementary and Sacagawea middle school creates undue hazard to the many children and families in the area.
HRDC has not demonstrated the proper controls, screening and protection for this program located in a highly
dense residential neighborhood that was never zoned for a purpose such as this.
Personally, a big supporter of HRDC and their efforts including the warming shelter this isn't just a reaction of
"not in my back yard" as in good conscious I would not recommend this same special use permit in a
similar neighborhood. As they are shuttling the people who will be staying and this proposed location is not
central by any means why cant HRDC locate another site that is more appropriate for this intended purpose?
