I am writing to express concern over the proposed shelter close to Morning Star and Sac. While I absolutely believe a
shelter needs to be in place, I am concerned about the location HRDC has picked and feel our city should be too. If it
was guaranteed only women and children, that is one thing, but the prospect of any man (background unknown) coming
in and out of a family and school neighborhood is not safe and a disregard to the families and schools in the area.
Please reconsider and encourage HRDC to go back to the drawing board with full transparency. They are a wonderful
organization but this process has great potential to tarnish the
Communities’ support of them. Too much is at stake.
