It seems that the City systematically suffers from a lack of common sense. There is an ongoing effort to find
and promote affordable housing with the consistent message that people cannot afford to live here. At the
same time, I just saw on the News, that there is a plan to forcefully annex county lands within the city
limits. Are the commissioners so deaf that they cannot hear the hypocrisy ? Are they so blind that they do
not see that these county lands have mobile homes on them and that these are homes for low-income
people. Annexation of these low-tax, low-rent, home sites (for yesterday's sustainable tiny homes) will just
add to the lack of affordable housing. Shame on all of you for even considering gobbling up and taxing
these parcels out of existence. The folks that live on these pads need help keeping their rent low, not
pulling a move like taking away the places they live. It is bad enough when the property owner pulls this
stunt, let alone when the city pulls it. Just wanted to point out the lack of thinking by the city once again. It
would help to encourage more mobile home parks - tiny houses need a lot as well.
