Good morning,
It has come to my attention that the City of Bozeman is reviewing
placing a city homeless shelter between a grade school and
middle school on 3025 Westridge Drive. As HRDC does not
provide background checks on these people and the property
resides 287 feet from Morning Star School property I feel this is a
very poor plan. City transportation is also at least a mile away for
this house. Literally hundreds of children cross the intersection
next to this house and if anything should happen to a child the
ramifications will be significant for those involved. In 2018 the
current HRDC location had 33 issues that required the Bozeman
PD to respond. Westridge is designated as an R-1 neighborhood
for single homes. If the city approves this application, I will
engage the services of my attorney. I will also personally lead a
fund raising campaign for a fully funded legal representative (for
all of the South Side Bozeman residents affected) in an effort to
keep this project out of an R-1 Zoning District.
