To whom it may concern,
I am writing in concern for the proposed warming center at 3025 Westridge, Bozeman MT. Although I am not
opposed to a warming center, I believe that the proposed location of this center would lead to issues in the
surrounding neighborhoods. Everyday there are young children that travel to and from school right past the
proposed center location which could lead to problematic or even dangerous encounters. This public facility may
harbor individuals that could pose a danger to the public. These encounters cannot be predicted but have a chance of
occurring, even one terrible incident would be a cause for concern. Living in one of the surrounding neighborhoods I
would not feel comfortable with the homeless being bussed into the neighborhood with few to no restrictions on
who may occupy the center. It would change the way of life for my family and children in the way we may currently
live and play in the area. Having a feeling of loss for safety for my surrounding neighborhood and children causes
concern for me as a home owner.
We respectfully ask that you reconsider the placement of this warming center and entertain other more conducive
locations.
