To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express a formal complaint regarding the proposal of zero parking spaces for
the AC Hotel Project. As a native Montanan and Bozeman resident of more than eighteenyears, I simply do not understand how the City of Bozeman would not require a project of
this nature and size to include their own parking provisions. As a world traveler, I understandthe importance of centering a city around it's downtown and supporting it's small business
owners. As a downtown business owner, I have felt the impact of the growth of the city andheard the complaints of our guests not wanting to deal with finding parking downtown/no
longer patronizing downtown. The parking garage seems to be full most of the time andsimply does not have enough room to support any growth as it stands. My understanding is
that the research has been done and approved regarding the additional levels to the garage. Myworry is that we are not supporting the growth of the city in a sustainable way and that sprawl
is becoming the norm. Please consider requiring all new projects downtown to provideappropriate parking for all future projects, equivalent to their impact!
