My child and I live on a street facing possible annexation into Bozeman. This has become my biggest fear
because my county property taxes went up 30% this year. At what point does that stop? I'm a hard working
Registered Nurse and living here and caring for the citizens is a challenge when the roof over my head is
threatened by even higher taxes in the future. The aides that work under me and other service workers
cannot even afford to live here now which leads to serious staffing issues in healthcare. Affordable living
needs to be affordable period. Many people are only making slightly above minimum wage. These are
people literally doing the dirtiest and hardest work. And it trickles down to all professionals. We need them
for the town and area to function. t's hard for me but impossible for some.
