Dear City Comissioners,
This garage was originally built to accommodate our upcoming performance art center, which never happened. It
was built with public funding, local and federal, and is controlled by the Municipality of Bozeman. It is a public
parking lot. We have been giving away way too much to developers whose greedy aspirations under the guise of
“maintaining a vibrant downtown.”
Not only are these incentives to developers no longer necessary, but are in fact costing the city and the people who
live here financial losses and inconvenience. Please stop subsidizing the ultra wealthy developers with community
funds and facilities. They can afford to put in underground parking, but choose not to because they keep getting
freebies from the city. Stop the madness. Make developers pay their own way. Keep public parking public. Hallorin
could build his own parking Garage and lease it to all his own developments..
Please do not approve his request for any longterm leasing of parking spots in the Bridger Parking Garage.
