Thanks for your kind words, Jen. I appreciate your suggestion of using a
moderator for future discussions, and will definitely be contacting Betsy.
Our staff has spent the last few days reviewing the comments received, and isproducing a brief executive summary and response to some of the most frequent
themes. I would anticipate that will be released on Monday, I know it was draftedthis week and is being reviewed by the leadership team. I wish we could have
something out sooner, as I acknowledge that misinformation continues to swirl. Iwill send it to you as soon as it is finalized.
Again, thank you for your level head and willingness to learn about the proposed
shelter.
Enjoy your weekend - tracy

Good to meet you last night. Thank you for your work to help find a home for
the warming shelter.
My husband, son and I are Figgins residents. We want to learn more about yourproposal. I’m sorry I didn’t make the whole meeting. What I did experience was
high emotions drowning out the details and the collaborative process. As I toldyou, I helped lead the neighborhood movement against Campus Crest. We
fought it due to the company's history and culture of abuse. I learned a lot aboutthe city planning process then. And I realize HRDC is going above and beyond
city notification requirements for a special use permit.
At the final vote for campus crest, Chris Mehl said that he was proud to see all250 of us there to testify on a brutally cold night. But he wanted us to keep up
that momentum and be involved on committees and other service opportunities
in the future. How many of us did that?
As you mentioned, this house may or may not be a good fit. And like myneighbor Scott said at the meeting last night, this could be a golden opportunity
for South Bozeman residents to raise our awareness and put our resourcestowards the problem of poverty in the valley and beyond.
So, please tell us more about the proposal, the HRDC’s needs and long term
solutions.
You did great, but this is a tough crowd. May I suggest bringing in a moderatorat your next public meeting? I highly recommend Betsy
Johnston. http://actionlearning.com/our-people/betsy-webb/ Someone like herwould be worth her weight in gold in terms of easing communication and
enhancing collaboration.
Feel free to share this email as you like. Thanks again and best wishes,
Jen
