Dear Commissioners,
I confess I did not do any research to ascertain who decided to pay for and install the pink banners on Main
Street before writing. That said, I am writing to express my disappointment that there are not any banners
on Main Street regarding domestic violence. It is, after all, domestic violence awareness month as well and I
hope you are all aware of the the its devastating results for women. Where are the purple banners?
I will be writing the Downtown Business folks as well as it could very well have been their decision to leave
out any banners raising awareness of the scourge it is.
I would hope that next year the City does better in this regard.
