The extensions willservice 28 residential lots created from the subdivision of Lots 41and 42. Demand and usage values shown represent all proposed usein Bridger Creek Subdivision. Totals have been adjusted to reflectthe proposed change in use of Lots 41 and 42 and have also beenfine-tuned to reflect what is now known about the proposed use ofother lots in the subdivision.J]]]jJ]j]JWATER SUPPLYWater for domestic use and fire protection shall be provided by theCity of Bozeman via a distribution system installed by theapplicants. Calculations in the 'SEWER SERVICE AREA STUDY", January1994, however, indicate that this additional capacity exists in thenewly constructed sewer main that will service Bridger CreekSubdivision.SOIL CONDITIONSThe soils within the vacinity of Lot 41/42 Bridger CreekSubdivision can be described generally as a sandy silt with clay,medium to low plasticity to a depth of 5 to 6 feet. Below that,the soils are characteristically more gravelly with clay and somesilts.The upper horizon has a maximum dry density between 100 and 108 pcfat 22% and 16% optimum moisture, respectively. CBR values for 0.1and 0.2 inches of penetration were developed and yielded values of5 and 4.1 respectively. The more conservative CBR =4.1 and it'scorresponding R-value (= 23) was used to check the pavementstructural section. The proposed pavement structural sectionconsisting of 3" of asphalt on 3" of crushed base on 12" of selectsubbase provides 1.'85 feet of Gravel Equivalent exceeding the 1.36feet required. See attached calculations, proctors and CBR worksheets.Groundwater in late April 1995 was 10 feet below the ground surfaceat the intersection of Caddie Court with Boylan Road. Nogroundwater was encountered in this area during the 1994 summer-fall construction season. 11111•11nnGRADING AND DRAINAGENo special considerations are required outside of those normallyemployed for residential street and lot grading and compaction.This project, a resubdivision of two lots within Bridger CreekSubdivision, Phase 1, was previously included in the stormwatermaster plan for Bridger Creek Subdivision.
