Good afternoon,
We have some concerns about the AC Hotel, application 19078.
1. According to the documents on bozeman.net, the primary entrance to the hotel will be on N Tracy, with drop off and pick up area. This is potentially a problem. Tracy is a narrow street
(even if it will be widened a bit as per the documents), and there is little air movement, especially when it will be like a deep well between the 2 tall buildings - 5 West and AC Hotel.
Where is the car exhaust going to go on Tracy - perhaps it is necessary to do an investigation? It’s likely going to go up into the windows of 5 West Mendenhall! That is unacceptable.
Perhaps the primary entrance to AC Hotel should be in the alley to the north or on Mendenhall.
2. Another concern is about the pedestrian way and access to the bus station during the
construction. As pedestrians and bus riders, we are very concerned about the impact of the construction on our ability to walk and ride the bus safely. There is a note in red on one of the
documents that care will be taken about not interrupting Streamline bus operations, but this remains a potential issue. Is there any way to do the construction without closing one lane of
Mendenhall? Will there be complete closures of Mendenhall during the construction? If so, how will we be notified of those closures?
