Subject:Objection to parking spots at AC Hotel

To who it may concern,
I would like to express my concern regarding the allowance for another major development
being put into downtown Bozeman without adequate parking. As a building and businessowner I can attest whole heartily that a development of this magnitude without onsite parking
will induce a hardship on the downtown community. There is not adequate parking given thevisitors, community members, and most importantly the employees of downtown as is. Any
additional developments must be required to provide onsite parking not only for those whowill be using the new structure but for the employees of the business that will occupy those
spaces. Most importantly new development projects should not be allowed to use a publicentity,The Parking Garage, because it was created for public not private use.
When I went through the development process for my building I thought hard about the
greater implications on the community not just my bottom line. Business is business but I wasborn in Bozeman and have chosen to live her because I want to be apart of a community that
cares about each other, my neighbors, my fellow business owners, and the great environmentof this town. The development projects that are currently underway have deteriorated this
sense of stewardship in our community. There needs to be support from our local governmentto preserve and regulate what remains.
I strongly object the approval of the AC Hotel without any onsite parking for its patrons and
employees.
