Bozeman City Planning –
This email is regarding the AC Hotel Site Plan, Application 19078. I am both a resident and property
owner in Downtown Bozeman.
I object to this application based on the following items:
- There is 0 parking associated with this project. In a downtown that is already stressed by
lack of parking, adding this project with 0 parking would seem to compound the issue.
- Where does the hotel intend to load and unload people? Both Mendenhall and Tracy are
busy streets and have no shoulder. My concern is for public safety and traffic flows on both
these streets.
- This potentially large development will create many more trips per day to the area. It would
seem a traffic study should be required to see how it will impact the surrounding area. Has
this been done to evaluate the impact? There may also be a need for a traffic light at
Mendenhall and Tracy due to this development. Has this been reviewed for public safety
reasons and to mitigate traffic issues? I am worried about both these items in an already
congested, busy area.
- The character of the project does not seem to fit the neighborhood.
- The Application states the structure is six stories. Does the height comply with Code
requirements?
