Subject: Tonight's Meeting
Dear City Commissioners and Sustainability Manager,
Thank you for your invitation to today's meeting with the Young
Professional Advisory Council and with our Sustainability Manager to
discuss Bozeman's City Plan to deal with climate change.
I do hope that the city's plan include the planting of trees on a massive
scale. The Chronicle has had several articles on the subject and we all
know their benefits. Paraphrasing author Jim Robbins, nothing that the
human endeavor does comes close to the efficiency of trees when it
comes to ameliorating climate change. Trees are carbon sinks and are
considered the best eco-technology we have.
I am requesting you to please include the benefit of trees as part of
tonight's discussion and as part of the City's Plan to deal with climate
change.
Thank you,
Aida Murga
