With the new study on the BOZEMAN Creek by the City of BOZEMAN, my property according to Allied Engineering, will be included in the flood plain. This will require me to carry insurance if the plan goes thru with FEMA. This will affect my availability to provide affordable housing. How many other properties are being mapped into the flood zone? I asked Brian Heaston if they could take the consideration that my property in its lifetime, has never been declared a flood zone and provides affordable housing, to see if Allied can do a ground study. Of course he said no and ‘it’s my responsibility to petition. ‘ All I have begged for is a common sense correction with regards to safety and beautification to the Creekside Park. The most insane part of this entire matter is FEMA still has it correct and it’s the man made concrete wall that should be fixed. Aside from the horrible treatment I have received with engineering, I still believe there is a way and maybe the City should lead by example and just fix this problem proactively.?
