Dear Chris Saunders,
I am writing a letter of protest regarding: Bozeman Medical Arts Parking Lot Zone Map Amendment
application 19258.
I am the sole owner of the house located at 402 N. Grand Ave. Bozeman, MT 59715. The legal
description is:
Beall’s Third Addition, S07, T02S, R06E, Block 5, lots 21-24, Acres 0.193, less east 50 feet
of lots 21-24
The property seeking rezoning is currently a parking lot, which has a positive impact on our
neighborhood and services the quiet business setting of the Medical Arts Building. I feel that rezoning this
property to allow for business use would not only greatly increase traffic, noise, and safety, but also would
change the historical nature of this area from its current residential use. Also, businesses without
adequate parking to support them put the burden of parking on the residential streets in front of our
homes.
Sure, people do park on the streets surrounding Main Street, but those blocks ( Babcock and
Mendenhall) are full of businesses and are not residential streets.
I am grateful for the opportunity to voice my opinion, as this change would have a huge impact on the
future of my property and neighborhood. I have lived in my home for 26 years and would like to continue
to enjoy my neighborhood as a residential area. Please consider for a moment how this issue would
affect you, if this was your street seeking such a change.
