To Bozeman City Commissioners:
I am a concerned neighbor on N 10th Ave. I am contacting you regarding application 19302 (live video for
scoreboard).
I attended the June tour that the school board had for neighbors. The location of the scoreboard was mentioned but
nothing was said about a live video portion of this. I find this nondisclosure disturbing. While the city as a whole
seems to be looking at the intrusion of lights on homes I find that approval of the live video would be in conflict
with this effort.
As a homeowner close to Van Winkle Stadium and the additional changes to Bozeman High I am troubled by the
continual seeking of exceptions that have been requested. Will this ever end? The city has rules in place to
guarantee the quality of life that citizens deserve. I have had several notices “thanking” me for the exception of the
parking restrictions approved by the city commissioners for events at the high school. This wasn’t approved by me. I
pay to park in front of my house.
This school is to educate our students. The stadium is not for a college or professional team. The school board needs
to get a better perspective on what their responsibilities are. I have always supported the school bonds but in the
future I will hesitate to do so.
