We are a family whose travel on the west side of town will be greatly affected without a left turn onto Classical Way and would like to suggest this traffic pattern be readdressed. As we travel to Petra via West Babcock, and I think of all the families from the South and eastern parts of Bozeman heading to Bronken fields and Petra, I struggle to find a better or safer alternative to a left turn from Cottonwood that doesn't increase traffic in front of and around the already busy blocks of Durston in front of Meadowlark and Heritage Christian or the kid-filled neighborhoods surrounding. With the current construction it's hard to see a larger vision for the West side transportation plan, but as it appears now, without a left turn into Classical Way, the alternate routes will either increase traffic through other existing school zones and nearby residential streets, or create pressure for taking U-turns at Durston and Cottonwood on the edge of a school zone. Thank you for your time, please don't hesitate to reach out with comments or corrections!
