Hello -
My neighbor has children that attend Petra and informed me today that the city is not planning to make a
left hand turn into Petra or Bronken fields off of Cottonwood Road with the new road construction. When
there is not road construction I approach Bronken from Babcock normally, and not being able to turn left
would be very frustrating and inconvenient. I have kids who play soccer and we currently practice at
Bronken during the week. If you force me to not be able to turn left into Bronken from Cottonwood, then I
will have to resort to taking Clifden to Durston and travel through that neighborhood to get my children to
practice. This increases neighborhood traffic in a park area. It also, forces all traffic to enter Petra and
Bronken from Durston, which will result in more of a traffic jam and problems. Turning left onto Durston
from Clifden is already a nightmare. Tournament weekends bring in extra families, and only having one
entrance point into that parking lot would be an unwise decision. I agree with making it a right hand turn
only out of Classical Way, but a left turn lane needs to be added on Cottonwood to turn left onto Classical
Way. I also agree with Petra, in that you can simply shift the left turn lane from Waters to Classical Way.
