I have a few concerns in regards to The Merin development project. The first is the size of the
project in regards to its close proximity to residential houses. The scale of the Merin will beout of place and out of touch with the buildings and homes that surround it. My second
concern is a common concern these days and that is of parking. "27 standard spaces, 2accessible spaces and 6 street parking" will not be sufficient for 29 condos plus the street level
retail space. Perhaps Mr. Holloran argues that the parking garage is close by, but I wouldargue that the owners/renters of the condos will not be parking in the garage after coming
home from the grocery store. Lastly, I worry about the increased traffic on Lamme as this isthe road that many families, including ours, use to go to Hawthorne. Lamme will see an
increase in traffic from people trying to find parking to others using the parking garage on thestreet level (accessed from Lamme?). I suggest reconsidering the scale of the project as well as
providing the appropriate number of parking spaces that are so desperately needed in thiscommunity.
