Subject:Overflow traffic & excessive speed (15 mph park zone) on Clifden Dr
Date:Friday, August 16, 2019 2:58:05 PM
Dear Madams and Sirs,
I would like to request preventative actions be taken on Clifden Drive due to construction on
Durston/Ferguson and Durston/Cottonwood. The construction has created larger than normaltraffic flows. The issue is Clifden Drive from Brisbin Street clear up to W. Babcock is a
heavily used park with a 15 MPH speed limit from 8 am until 8 pm daily. The amount ofvehicles speeding through this area is excessive with most people averaging 25-35 mph.
School will be in session in a few weeks and Meadowlark School will have increased trafficboth in vehicles and pedestrian traffic to and from school. As a homeowner who witnesses
daily foot traffic, we are very concerned there will be an accident.
We would like to see temporary speed bumps (not during winter), temporary stop signs toslow traffic, an increased police presence to monitor speeds and issue citations, and the traffic
smart trailers at both the north and south end (going with traffic flow north to south positionedon west side and south to north positioned on east side of park) to make drivers aware of
lawful speed limit.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact me at406-570-4275 (Debbie Angelly) or my husband David at 406-595-1034. We live at 419
Clifden Dr.
Thank you,
-- Debbie
