Public Comment (none) F. Action Items 1. 06:03:16 PM (00:02:30) Preservation Awards Recap (Discussion) Board members reviewed the recent Preservation Awards event and wanted to discuss what changes might be made for future events. This year’s event had about 60 attendees and was well received. Discussion was the possibility of reducing the number of awards but keeping the same categories, and still keeping the event every year. 2. 06:11:42 PM (00:10:56) Inventory Update (Discussion) Mr. Gonzales gave an update on the contract with Metcalf Archaeology. The contract/special services agreement is still being worked on and is hoped to finalize in July. It will need to go to the City Commission for final approval. Funds have been allocated from the Community Development program and are still available to execute the contract. The goal is to establish a long-term contract. 3. 06:13:40 PM (00:12:54) Wilson Project Update (Discussion) Board Members discussed houses they were assigned to be assessed. Ms. Alegria was able to look at the Chambers residence on Story St. and it does look like it would fit the original design. Mr. Karshner believed that the Browning house might fit the project criteria. The members found that they required more background information to efficiently assess the houses and talk to landowners to get permission to look at the houses. Members asked for more information from Ms. Holling to go forward with this project. 4. 06:18:25 PM (00:17:39) NCOD Review Update (Discussion) Mr. Gonzales gave a summary of the NCOD review. Staff is working with BendonAdams on the final document/work plan which will be a summary of what the commissioners supported. This document will outline the steps that will be taken and a timeline for these steps. A final draft should be available next month. Once the draft is available it will be on the Project website and be available on the Planning website long term. Mr. Gonzales answered questions from the members about the implementation of the plan once it is finalized. 5. 06:23:10 PM (00:22:24) Board Openings (Discussion) Board members Jeanne Carter, Jennifer Dunn and Crystal Alegria have their terms ending soon, however they all plan to reapply for the board. Board member Michael Wallner will be stepping down in a month or so to pursue other activities. The board will be down one member after Mr. Wallner steps down. G. 06:28:00 PM (00:27:14) FYI/Discussion 1. Board questions and general discussion  Mr. Wallner was curious who the visitors were to the meeting and determined that they were from Montana Conservation Corps and were there to observe.  The majority of the board members will not be available to meet at the regularly scheduled meeting time in July. The July board meeting has been cancelled. Members were asked to utilize the meeting time to look at the houses that they were assigned for the Wilson Project.  Mr. Wallner suggested that when the members are looking for new board members that they try and get people with expertise in the area of historical preservation.
