Katherine mentioned that the future ownership of the field could change and that the board should consider how that would affect the Cemetery. --At the Memorial Garden, Katherine requested labeling the garden on the kiosk and maps for people to see where it's located and doing some advertising to explain how they can memorialize loved ones. Marypat explained a plan so far to add a large boulder as a feature to help identify the garden. -- Second Gate Into Cemetery Discussion: The group stopped to begin the discussion of a second entrance, including the look of it,the cost of it, need for it-how often, how soon, who would use it,and how to go about planning for it. Helena's cemetery was offered as a nice example to take a look at, and Shane reminded everyone they could see that online. It was suggested that the second entrance have a similar look to the Buttonwood Ave. entrance.Thom explained that the cost of a second entrance would have to be BOZ E MANMT Parks & Cemetery approved in the Capital Improvements Plan. The group moved up the hill to get a better view of the possible locations and angles of the entrance and road leading to the Veterans Cemetery and Wall. A major consideration for the road would be the big buses that would need to turn corners and how to create enough clearance so that trees and any other structures wouldn't be damaged. They talked about a one- way, one lane road looping around the Veterans Cemetery to allow for a narrower road. -- Don gave an update on the Wall plaques and the kiosk. The wife is moving forward without the help from Bozeman Health. --Tree Discussion: New and Future Trees, Inventory: Shane pointed out locations of new tree plantings this year.
