Hello,
I'm writing in regards to the new recovery house that is planned to open on Westridge and Graf Street as
reported by the Chronicle. I have heard a number of community members express concern about this, and
so I want to make sure the other side is heard. I am in very strong support of proposed recovery home. I
hope our community can open its arms to our neighbors who are in need of extra help or going through a
challenging time. Suffering from a substance use disorder does not necessarily make you a bad neighbor,
and those who are seeking treatment seem to be those who most deserve the benefit of the doubt.
I have heard concerns expressed that this home is too close to schools. I have young children in that
neighborhood and who will one day attend Sacajawea. I want my children to know that everyone is
welcome in our community and that those who are struggling need our support. It is impossible to recover
without connection and community. I hope Bozeman can provide that.
