I would like to submit my concerns regarding the proposed men's drug and alcohol treatment
center at Westridge and Graf. Our family has two children that currently attend Morning StarElementary School, and will one day continue on at Sacajawea Middle School, and we
treasure the safety and freedom our children enjoy in walking and riding bikes to school. Theirpath takes them directly past the proposed site for men who have committed drug and alcohol
crimes. This is highly disturbing. I should think the City of Bozeman would put establishedneighborhoods and school zone safety above that of the needs of people who have committed
crimes. As a healthcare provider in the community, I do recognize the great importance oftreatment for people with drug and alcohol addiction--and often the underlying mental health
conditions leading to such addictions--but I do not believe approving this location is the bestchoice. Let's put our children first.
