On behalf of my family, I am writing in opposition to the proposed residential treatment facility at the corner of
Westridge and Graf. I'm not exactly sure what type of facility this would be or who would be eligible and how
long said occupants would be housed and what exactly are they recovering from? My concerns are for our
children who use that crosswalk at Graf & South 3rd daily.
I have two boys ages 13 & 11 and I can honestly say I DO NOT want my children that close to recovering meth
addicts among other addictions. I do believe the city could benefit from a program like this, however, I DO
NOT want this in our backyard. Coming from Atlanta where my children were not allowed to wander our
neighborhood alone and moving to Bozeman where we feel safe, we DO NOT want this type of facility in our
backyard. We moved into Alder Creek for a security and freedom for our kids to be kids and feel safe.
My hopes are that you all consider our children in making this decision. The close proximity to our elementary
school and middle school is just not an acceptable location for this particular type of facility.
