While I feel that a recovery house is a great thing to offer to men who are struggling with drug and alcohol problems, I do not feel that a home next to an elementary school where many unsupervised young children are walking and biking to school is the appropriate location for this house. In addition, this home is zoned R-1 which prohibits more than 8 people from residing in a home in this neighborhood. Most of the people who live in Figgins, Allison and Alder Creek have young children who walk, bike and play in the area. I live in the neighborhood and have young kids of my own. I have been looking forward to the day when we can bike or walk to school and work instead of driving. I would not feel safe having my children bike and walk to school with a recovery house next to the school. I am hoping that you take the zoning requirements and the impact to the neighborhood into consideration. Thanks, Caressa Bailey Sack
