Subject: Men’s recovery house concerns
Mayor Mehl,
I am writing to voice concern over the planned opening of the men’s recovery house at the corner of Graf and
Westridge. While this service is greatly needed in our community, the location is less than ideal and the number of
residents planned is greater than the residential code. This house is located at a major cross road for children going to
and from school, as it is in between Sacajawea Middle School and Morning Star elementary. While residents are working
to get back on the right path, I am concerned that those who struggle could have negative influences on the kids and
neighbors in the area.
This service would be better offered in a different part of town, away from schools, and in a more affordable area where
fewer residents would be needed to break even.
