Metcalfe - Police and Fire Response Thank You 11 Chinook Trail Bozeman, MT 59718 Chief Steve Crawford Bozeman Police Department 615 S 16th Ave#260 Bozeman, MT 59715 July 17, 2019 Dear Chief Crawford, I'm writing to express my thanks and to commend officers from the Bozeman Police Department for the service they recently provided to me following a serious vehicle accident I was involved in. On July 9, 2019, 1 was driving west bound on Kagy Boulevard just after 4:45 p.m. near the Museum of the Rockies, when a driver heading east bound on Kagy jumped the median and t- boned the Chevy Avalanche that I was driving. Officers from the Bozeman Police Department arrived on the scene to assist, along with members of Bozeman Fire Truck 3 and Engine Companies 1 and 2 and Battalion 1, and the MSU Police Department. The accident was so severe that the officers on the scene needed to use the 'jaws of life' to get me out of my vehicle. I am recovering from serious bruises and three broken bones in my left foot. In my encounters with your officers they were courteous, kind, very empathetic to my situation, and helpful. We should be very proud to have officers of this caliber serving our community. While I extended my thanks to your officers at the scene of the accident, I would appreciate if you would do so, again, on my behalf. Sincerely, George L.
