Wenzel - Gallatin Green Boulevard ProposalFrom:Cody Wenzel To:Agenda Subject:Public Comment on Westland Lofts Application 18557 Date:Friday, June 28, 2019 7:29:55 PM Attachments:image.png Hello, My name is Cody Wenzel. I am a Montana Native, a 2010 MSU Graduate and my wifeMonique and I have owned 2467 Gallatin Green Blvd since 2012. We have two small children, Tobin (3) and Otto (1) as well as a dog Hines. I have general safety concerns in relation to the Westland Lofts Application. This application seems to specifically violate sec. 38.230.100 - 6 because of it's impact ontraffic and parking. Gallatin Green Blvd. is a narrow street on this end and we already have accidents 2-3 times per year. Mirrors being hit off of vehicles, and worse. In fact my car wasrecently totaled on this street in May 2019. A picture of my totaled car is included below. You can also cross reference police report BI19-02322 as evidence of the accident. As you will seethis street is already pretty miserable safety wise. Another issue is parking on Gallatin Green. It is currently typical for the street to be full of vehicles without any parking. In theory there are enough parking spaces for the currentapartments and condos in the area but it seems that on most nights they do overflow into the street until it is jam packed. This development would seem to greatly exacerbate this issue. But those are minor issues for me. My car could be replaced. I can also walk a little extra frommy car to my property. BUT my children walk/bike across Gallatin Green often to play in the park nearby. I see children cross the street regularly. Children can not be replaced. Thisproposal will flat out cause too much traffic on this street and will be a major safety concern for me as a parent. I beg you to limit the scope of this project to smaller levels that will reduce the risk ofaccident. Cody Wenzel
