I am currently working with HRDC's Transportation Department. We are hoping the City will re-consider our
request for one-time funding of $20,000 to use as a local match to a planning grant we received from the
Montana Department of Transportation. This grant will be used to bring on a transportation consultant
later this year who will evaluate the Streamline transit system and redesign the routes to accommodate the
growth that has occurred in Bozeman over the recent decade. Without the local match of the city, HRDC
will likely have to scale back the scope of this project.
Bozeman residents have repeatedly stated that Streamline routes need to be adjusted to serve all parts of
the city. We feel that this new planning project will be a big step in the right direction and will ultimately
lead to better public transportation service for all Bozeman residents.
