HomeMy WebLinkAboutProclamation 82- Constitution Week September 17-23 1982 PRO C LAM A T ION -----~-~---~ "CONSTITUTION WEEK" September 17 through 23, 1982 *********************************** WHEREAS, it is the privilege and duty of the American people to commemorate the one hundred ninety-fifth anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America with appropriate ceremonies and activities; and WHEREAS, Public Law No. 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation by the President of the United States of America, designating September 17 through 23 of each year as Constitution Week; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proclaim the week of September 17 through 23, 1982, as "CONSTITUTION WEEK" and urge all citizens to study the Constitution, to express gratitude for the privilege of American citizenship in our Republic functioning under the superb body of laws - the Constitution of the United States of America. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the great seal of the City of Bozeman, in the State Seal of Montana, to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this day of September, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty-Two, and the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and sixth. , r'
