PRIVATE PROPERTY WEEK
April 18-24, 1982
*******************
WHEREAS, our nation is the land of liberty, where freedom has reigned for more
than 200 years. Political and economic freedom have made the United
States a nation unlike any other on earth, with more wealth enjoyed by
more individuals. Individual freedom to build and grow has also given
us our city of Bozeman with its many homes, businesses and surrounding
countryside; and
WHEREAS, one of the reasons that Bozeman has grown is American's right to private
property. Indeed, human freedom and opportunity have helped individuals
to produce thriving industry and commerce here that created the good
living that typifies our city. As citizens, REALTORS observe Private
Property Week annually to celebrate American's real property ownership
rights. This week the Bozeman Board of REALTORS is celebrating these
rights, which have contributed so much to our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman do hereby
proclaim the week of April 18 to 24, 1982, as
PRIVATE PROPERTY WEEK
and I ask all residents of Bozeman to join the Bozeman Board of REALTORS
nationwide in celebration of the rights of real property ownership, with the
intent that this freedom will continue for posterity.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the great seal of the
City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana,
Seal to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this
15th day of March in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty-Two.
