PRO C LAM A T ION '""., ~ - ~ - - - .....- ~" ~ --- --.--. - PRIVATE PROPERTY WEEK April 18-24, 1982 ******************* WHEREAS, our nation is the land of liberty, where freedom has reigned for more than 200 years. Political and economic freedom have made the United States a nation unlike any other on earth, with more wealth enjoyed by more individuals. Individual freedom to build and grow has also given us our city of Bozeman with its many homes, businesses and surrounding countryside; and WHEREAS, one of the reasons that Bozeman has grown is American's right to private property. Indeed, human freedom and opportunity have helped individuals to produce thriving industry and commerce here that created the good living that typifies our city. As citizens, REALTORS observe Private Property Week annually to celebrate American's real property ownership rights. This week the Bozeman Board of REALTORS is celebrating these rights, which have contributed so much to our community; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman do hereby proclaim the week of April 18 to 24, 1982, as PRIVATE PROPERTY WEEK and I ask all residents of Bozeman to join the Bozeman Board of REALTORS nationwide in celebration of the rights of real property ownership, with the intent that this freedom will continue for posterity. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the great seal of the City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, Seal to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 15th day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty-Two.
