I~HEREAS, Americans have access to unlimited knowledge at their local
1 i brari es; and
WHEREAS, America's libraries are free and open to all people; and
HHEREAS. the quality, diversity and quantity of information provided
by local libraries is dependent upon community support; and
WHEREAS, the library in Bozeman is celebrating National Library Week
with the theme, "Knowledge Is Real Power"; and
WHEREAS. that theme encoura~es everyone to use the resources available
to them in their libraries to help them succeed in all aspects
of 1 ife;
NOW, THEREFORE. I, Kenneth L. Weaver. Mayor of the City of Bozeman. do
hereby proclaim the week of April 8th through the 14th. 1984, as
NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK
in Bozeman. Montana. and encourage all citizens to use our library to
gain the knowledge they need.
