NATIONAL PET WEEK
May 1-7. 1983

WHEREAS. the citizens of Bozeman are to be commended for their responsible
care of animals by complying with laws and ordinances. by
furnishing food. shelter, love and affection, and by providing
proper health care; and
WHEREAS, every day pets bring smiles to the faces of young and old alike;
and
WHEREAS. pets give their unquestioning love and add meaning to the lives of
our citizens; and
WHEREAS. many pets provide service and enjoyment to their owners through
everyday working endeavors, sports and shows; and
WHEREAS, the care and treatment of animals is entrusted to Doctors of
Veterinary Medicine who strive to preserve and improve the quality
of life for pets and people in Bozeman;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Kenneth L. Weaver. Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of Bozeman,
do hereby proclaim the week of May 1-7. 1983, as
NATIONAL PET WEEK
in Bozeman, and I call upon the people to take advantage of the events planned
in conjunction with this observance.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my
hand and caused the great seal of the City
