PROCLAMATION
HEARTS PLEDGE WEEK
February 12-18, 1984
WH ER EAS, the graduating senior class at Bozeman Senior High School
has consistently been composed of a high proportion of
talented and exemplary students; and
WH ER EAS, scholarships and grants awarded to graduating seniors in
our high school fall short of rewarding many students who
have exhibited high potential and dedication; and
WHEREAS, the Worthy Student Scholarship Fund has been established
to broaden the scope of the scholarship program and to
demonstrate community appreciation to students who have
used the local education resources well; and
WHEREAS, the third week in February will be devoted to creating
community awareness and career encouragement of Bozeman1s
worthy students;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ken Weaver, Mayor of the City of Bozeman do
proclaim the dates of February 12-18, 1984, as HEARTS PLEDGE WEEK.
FURTHER, I call on the citizens of Bozeman to join with me in encouraging
productive school and community citizenship by supporting the Worthy
Student Scholarship Fund during HEARTS PLEDGE WEEK.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have
hereunto set my hand and caused
the great seal of the city of Bozeman,
in the state of Montana, to be affixed
at Bozeman, Montana, this day of
February in the year of our Lord One
