N o . 2 9 1 0 6 P E M E G A A R D P E F O R S O I L N A S R E N I G ENE P R O P O S E D B U I L D I N G FRONTAGE ROAD E X I S T I N G B U I L D I N G E X I S T I N G B U I L D I N G E R O S I O N A N D S E D I M E N T C O N T R O L S W P P P 1 1.EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN IS A LIVING DOCUMENT ANDMAY BE UPDATED AND REVISED AS NEEDED.2.CONTRACTOR SHALL PHASE THE GRADING WORK TO MINIMIZE THE TIMESOILS ARE EXPOSED AND SHALL PLACE SEED, EROSION CONTROLBLANKET, MULCH, OR HYDRO-SEED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTERCOMPLETING GRADING WORK.3.PERIMETER CONTROL BMPS SUCH AS SILT FENCE, NATIVE VEGETATIVEBUFFERS, FIBER ROLLS, STRAW WATTLES AND EARTHEN BERMS AREINTERCHANGEABLE AND THE MOST FEASIBLE BMP SHOULD BE USEDWHEN NEEDED. ADDITIONAL BMP'S MAY BE NEEDED TO PREVENTEROSION AND SEDIMENTATION.4.INSTALL EROSION CONTROL BLANKET AT DOWNSTREAM ENDS OF NEWOR DISTURBED CULVERTS, NEWLY GRADED DITCHES, AND WHERESCOUR IS VISIBLE ON DISTURBED SOILS AS NEEDED.5.DISTURBED SOILS SHALL BE SURFACED ROUGHENED AS NEEDED. ORIENTTHE SURFACE GROVES TO BE PARALLEL TO THE CONTOURS ANDPERPENDICULAR TO THE SURFACE FLOWS. BLEND THE EXISTINGTOPSOIL ADJACENT TO THE SIDEWALK AND/OR CURB & GUTTER TOELIMINATE ANY STEEP SLOPES OR VERTICAL EDGES. HYDRO-SEEDAFTER SURFACE ROUGHENING.6.DISTURBED SOILS ARE TO BE WATERED AS NEEDED FOR DUST CONTROLAND/OR SEED GERMINATION.7.TEMPORARY SOIL STOCK PILE AND STAGING AREAS MAY HAVE SILTFENCE, EARTHEN BERM OR FIBER ROLLS INSTALLED AROUND THEPERIMETER OF THE AREA. TEMPORARILY COVER EXCESS SOIL WHEN NOTWORKED FOR MORE THAN 48 HOURS AS NEEDED. WHEN STOCKPILEAREA IS NO LONGER NEEDED, FINALIZE BY RE-GRADING AND COVERINGTHE AREA WITH MULCH AND WEED-FREE SEED MIX OR HYDRO-SEED.8.PROVIDE A STABILIZED VEHICLE ENTRANCE IF THERE IS CONTINUALTRAFFIC IN AND OUT OF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE. IF POSSIBLE, PARKVEHICLES IN DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS, ON ROADS OR UNDISTURBED,VEGETATED AREAS. AVOID ENTERING A SITE WHEN IT IS MUDDY. IF THISIS NOT POSSIBLE, CLEAN OFF VEHICLE TIRES BEFORE LEAVING THE SITE.9.CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ONGOING EVALUATION ANDMAINTENANCE OF BMPS TO ENSURE PROPER FUNCTIONING ANDADEQUACY AS CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES.10.INSPECTIONS OF ALL BMPS (INCLUDING VEGETATIVE BUFFERS) MUST BECONDUCTED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 7 DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AHALF-INCH RAINFALL EVENT. INSPECTION RESULTS MUST BE RECORDED.THE RESULTS MAY BE RECORDED IN ANY DIARY OR INSPECTION FORMUSED AT THE SITE. THE RECORD OF THE INSPECTION MUST INCLUDE THEDATE AND TIME OF THE INSPECTION, NAME OF PERSON CONDUCTING THEINSPECTION, FINDINGS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS REQUIRED,CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN, AND DATE AND AMOUNT OF RAINFALL.
