EMPIDY 'IRE YOtJIH WEEK
J1..Ule 20-26, 1982

WHEREAS, the youth of Gallatin Co1..Ulty have demonstrated the ambition, the
enthusiasm, and. the zeal to get a job done in past years; and
WHEREAS, in the past weeks many thousands of young people will have begtul
the long SUIlll'er vacation; be it knCM11 that these days and weeks of
freedom from the classroom can be productive and self-satisfying
or spent in idleness and frustration.
WHEREAS, there is a need for understanding and public participation in
helping these yo1..Ulg people find jobs for the sunmer; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for greater understanding am:mg local employers
that the youth of Gallatin Connty need increased job opportunities
to make this surnrer a productive one;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alfred M. Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman do hereby
proclaim the week of J1..Ule 20th through June 26th, 1982, as
EMPIDY 'IRE YOtJIH WEEK
and do urge all local employers and/or citizens to consider hiring a youth
this sumner.
