HomeMy WebLinkAboutProclamation 81- Fire Prevention Week October 4-11 1981 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK, 1981 A PROCLAMATION BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN WHEREAS thousands of Americans lose their lives each year from fires that could be prevented: and WHEREAS great social and economic losses to our city result from the destruction of homes, business enterprises, industries, and natural resources: THEREFORE, I Duncan MacNab, Mayor of BOZEMAN, MONTANA do hereby proclaim the week beginning October 4, 1981 as Fire Prevention Week. I call upon all departments and agencies of the city government to participate actively in a campaign for improved fire safety. The Fire Department and the schools of our city can provide effective leadership in the activities of Fire Prevention Week, and I urge them to work with the Chamber of Commerce and other organizations for a successful program. I earnestly request every citizen of the community to take part in relieving hazardous conditions and making our city a safer community in which to live and work.
