PROCLAMATION
HEARTS WEEK
February 21-27, 1982
WH EREAS, the graduating senior class at Bozeman Senior High School
has consistently been composed of a high proportion of
talented and exemplary students; and
WH ER EAS, scholarships and grants awarded to graduating seniors in
our high school fall short of rewarding many students who
have exhibited high potential and dedication; and
WH ER EAS, the Worthy Student Scholarship Fund has been established
to broaden the scope of the scholarship program and to
demonstrate community appreciation to students who have
used the local education resources well; and
WHEREAS, the second week in February will be devoted to creating
community awareness and career encouragement of Bozeman's
worthy students;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, AI Stiff, Mayor of the City of Bozeman do
proclaim the dates of February 21-27, 1982, as HEARTS WEEK.
FURTHER, I call on the citizens of Bozeman to join with me in encouraging
productive school and community citizenship by supporting the Worthy
Student Scholarship Fund during HEARTS WEEK.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have
hereunto set my hand and caused
the great seal of the city of Bozeman,
in the state of Montana, to be affixed
at Bozeman, Montana, th i s 17th day of
February in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty-Two.
