WHEREAS , the Citizens of this carmunity recognize the many
valuable contributions made by the smithsonian
Institution in the fields of science, education,
and historic preservation: and
WHEREAS , we camtend the Snithsonian Institution for makirg its
unique resources available to its own local members
and to the people of Bozeman by bringirg the smithsonian
National Associate leCture and seminar PtOJram to the
Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University.
NCM, 'mEREFORE, I, Kenneth L. weaver, Mayor of the City of Ebzenan do hereby
proclaim the week of OCtober 4-8, 1984 as
SMITHSONIAN INSfI'lUTION WEEK
in the City of Bozeman and urge the people of Bozeman to observe such week
by welcoming the Staff and Associates of the Smithsonian to our community
and by participating in the lectures, ~rkshops and prCYJrarns which they have
brOlqht to us.
