PROCLAMATION
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS DAY
November 10, 1987

WHEREAS, the United States Marine Corps has an outstanding record as
a vital force in our national security; and
WHEREAS, many men and women have given their energies and discipline
towards building the reputation of the United States Marine
Corps; and
WHEREAS, the founding of the United States Marine Corps is celebrated
annually on November 10 to honor the achievements of Ameri-
cans who have served and those who have given their lives
for the cause of democracy.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Judith A. Mathre, Mayor of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, November 10, 1987 as
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS DAY
and urge the people of Bozeman to recognize the observance of the 212th
birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

the State of Montana, to be affixed
at Bozeman, Montana, this 9th day
